thats what I was thinking. This axle is overkill for anything under 38s and realistically will be more of a downgrade on 33's than an upgrade. Sure, you wont break it, but youll also get it stuck on every rock you pass

Being a rock jock D60 it has more clearance than a reg D60. Its also nice to have peice of mind to be able to hit any trail you want and not have to worry about breaking an axle. I am glad i chance the rear to a 60 just wish i could have sprung for one of these.

Your going to get hung up. I ran a 14 bolt on 33's before and it hung on everything.
A good D44 would have been perfect for 33-35's. Custom D60's is just throwing money out the window. The good news is nobody is ever happy with their tire sizes so you'll ALWAYS go bigger and you'll be equipped for it.

I was going to get the D44 but I was unable to find a rockjock D44 for the XJ.
The rockjock differentials are rotated so that the lip is no longer the low point, I will measure the distance between ground on my C8.25 and then again on my D60 once it's installed and let you know what the difference is.
Also, the piece of mind is definitely nice. I hate being out there just waiting to break my C8.25, I tend to wheel pretty hard and beat my rig to death so it was only a matter of time before major parts started breaking so this will be nice to have. I am planning to do the same to the front end here in a couple months.
