axle suggestions
I have found quite a few axles but id like to try and get a list that meets some very specific criteria. Im not sure what I want to run, d60, sterling, toyota etc.
So Im hoping some people can chime in with axles that meet my criteria.
I know I can search, and I have, there is just so much info, and so spread out its tough.
so my criteria is;
d60 size. (no d44 etc.)
drivers drop
unit bearing
preferably non-disco
My thoughts are ff14 rear, or ff60. later model d60 front. but not sure if there is a drivers drop unit bearing. AAM from a dodge or ford. 10.5 and whatever the front is.
I know I can probably run a ford, but I believe they all have selectable hubs. I will do this if I have to. But my intention is to run deep backspace rims to keep the widtch down, and I dont want locking hubs sticking out getting smashed into rocks.

not sure yet. probably a 37 for now, but at some point possibly a 40.
However, i do not want to do it twice. even if I stay on a 37 I want something more than a d44.
60/60 combo Is probably the best fit.

thats good info. But again, doesnt answer my specifics. I know the ring gear size, spline count etc. I dont know what year vehicles came with them specifically in non disco, or drivers drop, and which had unit bearings.
that is the problem.
that is the problem.

all the info you should need about D60's. if you are keeping it driver drop would will need a ford front. just find a matching width/lug pattern for the rear. more then one unit bearing D60 driver drop axle options.

ah, never even looked at billavista. That is good info on the 60. I was also unaware that the ford axles used a unit bearing, I thought they all used a manual hub

actually it looks like the only non disco, drivers drop, unit bearing, non locking hub 60 is a 2002 only dodge CTD. I owned one, but it happened to be in front of a d70 in my diesel dodge lol.
