Default axel swap

I searched but there are to many threads, is a d44 off a grand Cherokee a direct swap? What years have the 8.25? And what's a direct swap for the front? If I swap axles will I have problems when trying to put a lift on?

Also the Grand has a D44a, bit different and barely stronger than a D35. 8.25 came in 90 or 91-01. Late 96 went from 27 to 29 spline and the only bolt in swap for the front that's not a D30 is the Rubi D44 which is a low pinion 44 center section with D30 tubes and outters, so not much of an upgrade.

Sorry forgot to mention a regular Cherokee, 91-01? Has the 8.25?
Im looking for a simple swap for my 95 xj, something I don't have to weld anything, cut maybe haha but no welding, also if I do get a 8 and I get a lift it wont matter will it? Since the rear is just leafs,?

Do what I did and swap in a 29 spline 8.25 from a 97+ XJ. It is comparable in strength to the D44
