anyone try this driveshaft
On ebay type in sye it comes up. It just like stock but with two ujoints on slip yoke end. He advertises that you can use this to gett rid of vibes like an sye. Looking for anyone who has tried or heard of this type.

im pretty sure ive seen this before. i wouldnt run it. leaves the weak stock tail housing on the t-case and adds a lot more weight to the driveshaft.
sure it will get rid of vibes, but it could also ruin your day.
you can do a heavy duty full sye and stock front shaft for around $200-$250 depending on where you shop.

other trucks and drivetrain combos may work, but that is the commonly accepted donor and its plentiful in every junkyard

I just picked up one like this made in Las Vegas. I found it on craigslist for a really good deal, and since I am going to an 8.8, and don't know what the final driveshaft length will be, I figured this was a good thing to use at least temporarily.
I know that I won't be able to pull the rear driveshaft and only drive using the front if I break anything, but I have 2 extra stock rear driveshafts already, so if I have to bring one with me on a trail, it's no big deal. It completely eliminated my driveshaft vibrations and my rear is lifted about 6". I can't run a TC drop with the long arm kit I have, so before I put this in, vibrations were terrible. I still need to shim the rear to get the angle perfect, but I already have no more vibrations.
It's definitely not better than a SYE, but if the price is good enough, I think they have their place. That being said, I'll still end up with a SYE eventually, this just allows me to wait as long as I need to to find a really good deal. Once I switch over, I'll sell this to one of my other XJ friends to run on theirs.
