Anybody know about Motive Gear?
im lookin at getting the 4.10 gears from rustys. does anybody run motive gear with good results, or have any other brand that is good quality?

The shop i'm having install my gears recommends motive highly, and would hesitate to use another brand like richmond because they whine too much. He sounded very happy when i said i'd be bringing him Motive 4.10s and master rebuild kits for my rears. Still waiting for money to come in to get the parts and do the install..

Ok cool. The guy I talked to never used motive. but they are made in the u.s. which is good. Also....4.10s for 32 inheritance tires with an aw4 auto is about correct gearing right?

Installed many sets, including my rig and my son's.
No problems and they are nice and quite. If there's any interest I'll load them onto my site. |
i will probably be picking the whole kit from rustys or rough country. 480$ for front and rear 4.10s and a complete rebuild kit? cant really beat that. i would much rather buy from you though if at all possible.
also for 32s...should i do 4.10s or 4.56s? i think i saw that around 32s or 33s with 4.10s would be around stock with 3.55s. |
go 4.56 in case u ever feelin like going bigger, but 4.10 is minimum for 32s or 33s

I'll check in the morning.

After reviewing Motive Gears Warranty, I won't be adding them to my site after all.
Although I'm confident in the product and run their gears in my rig, I simply can't in good conscience sell them to my customers with what I feel is a very poor warranty. I apologize to anyone that may be affected by my decision but I think it is in my best interest, and yours, to continue to offer products with a better warranties for your protection as well as my reputation. Please feel free to spend your money the way you see fit. |
