I prefer heims. I feel they are tighter and more responsive then tie rod ends. As long as they are quality they will outlast the tie rod ends when being abused offroad. You see my pics in the other steering thread?

I got an IRO kit waiting to go in. Its crazy stout. Down right heavy. I too feel like heim joints will be a bit less sloppy. I also went that route because it doesn't require relocating track bar and sway bar links.

Also I didn't have to ream the knuckles and pitman arm just drill them. If you get IRO get the 5/8 bolts. Its just $20 more and you have to drill but its seems a lot better idea then having empty space in the mounting points. Get their track bar too. Lol

You don't HAVE to relocate the track bar with any of these setups mentioned. It is just recommended for superior handling on any jeep lifted 4.5" or more.

My steering goes for 325. My track bar and relocation brackets go for 250. I could probably make you a package deal if you wanted the track bar too.
