Does the CPS have an effect on the fuel injectors when it goes out?

It cuts off the flow of voltage to the fuel pump. If the CPS is truly bad U should not here the fuel pump energize when u turn the key.

you also may get a NO BUS sign on the odometer/trip. That thing is a b**** to change out! you can do it from underneath the jeep with a 12 or longer socket extender and a ujoint socket joint thingy.

Haha thats exactly what i did, the 3 foot extension and the u joint thing. I got the dang thing out last night and the bracket was bent so the magnetic thing on the end that gives spark was sheared off by the flywheel. The fuel pump pressurised up fine even though the sensor was destroyed. I was just not getting any signals to the injectors to fire , but they all worked. So today i have the fun job of putting the new CPS in.

When i took the CPS off it took me a ton of extensions and some choice words, but when I was going to put it back in i saw that if i took off that bracket that holds the cable for the shifter, i might be able to fit my hand in there better. When i took that off, i could have shot myself for not doing it earlier. It was a million times easier to put on. It took me maybe an hour and a half to get it off, but only ten minutes to put it back on, just my $ .02 for all those who have to replace their CPS.

I tested the new sensor by following the chilton manual, and it is working, but i still have none of the injectors squirting and no spark. Can anyone help me here?
