Another adjustable ontrol arm question
First off this jeep project has been enjoyable and I have to thank this site for all the information that is on it. I haven't posted much because I haven't had to. So much information is already on here. It's great! I'll post a pic of what she looks like so far. Not bad for a 1300$ beater!
I know the "what length" question is all over the place. I just put on 4.5" lift. I adjusted uppers and lowers according to the chart that is posted all over the place. However, When flexed out and the spring fully extended the spring rubs on the guide part that has the bump stop in it. I took a picture of the angle of the spring when full weight is on it and it looks like the bottom is much further back then the top is that normal?
I am having issues with it darting left or right at slower speeds or when I hit a bump. It actually is much better at 60mph than at 25. I'm wondering if this could be the cause
See the pictures does the spring angle look off compared to yours?

I think I'm going to adjust the lowers out a few turns

I'm installing mine tonight-
I'm adjusting all, uppers and lowers, to 1/4" past stock length. I have a 3" lift.
Do not just turn out a couple of turns, you need to remove and measure each one and reinstall it.
Your caster is all out of whack for sure. (likely why you are darting right and left)
Go back to stock then measure out 1/2" on ALL of them.....start from there.

Adjusted uppers out to 15 1/4 and lowers to 16 3/4. Seems to have helped. Steering wheel wants to go back to center more too. Axle still looks back a bit to far though. Might adjust them out some more.
