So here is an update, Im getting the run around from both the manufacturer and from amazon. Im not confident of this getting resolved. Even though I only have 3000 miles on it, they are saying it is out of the timeframe warranty. I don’t think they are going to stand behind their product.

Well, here's the thing...I bet the design hasn't changed so you'd be right back in the same situation in a few months again...That's not a one off occurrence they'll all do that the way it appears to be designed and I'm sure the manufacturer is trying to run from all of them...At this point I'd start reinforcing the problem areas if you want to keep using it...

yea I already did that so I could get it back home. I rewelded the cracks and installed some reinforcement brackets.

So the manufacturer is going to make a new tire carrier for me and it should ship from china in 15 days.
Im thinking they know there is an issue which is why they are not sending one that is already stateside.
Im glad they decided to stand behind their product even though it was technically out of warranty. I guess the squeaky wheel gets the grease..

It'll be interesting to see if there's any design changes or they're giving you more of the same...Keep us posted on what you get...
