How is that a federal offense? It's still a fully functional cat... Better if anything

I'm pretty sure it's totally legal to have a cat converter on your rig. Now, having a "different" one may not fly in states with inspections, I wouldn't know though.

I'd say find a 2.25 or 2.5 inch diameter cat and put it in there.

I forget where I read it. I thought it was in the OEM Tech sticky but it's not. Take it with a grain of salt, all I know is I read that it's illegal to install a used cat. But then again, who would know?

^THIS!!!!! Don't spend more than you have to. $40 for a high flow ceramic core cat, $65 for a higher flowing metallic core.

A brand new high flow cat is literally $40.
A used cat may be clogged. May have it's honeycomb all busted up. May not be high flow.
Just get a new one.

If it only has 49k miles there is a reason it was replaced

Probably put a high flow in or XXX.
If your stock cat is fine, I dont' know why you'd even bother with putting in another stock cat. Take that dodge cat to the scrap yard and get money. They are worth quite a bit.

Let the noob learn. When he puts a used one it and his jeep runs like crap it's not interfering with any of our schedules.

Here you go though: http://performance-curve.com/thunderbolt-spincat.aspx
