Also, are there any tips for the Dual cat Down Pipe installation, I got the pipe from OMIX ADA and it is a single pipe (with dual CAT's) to the other CAT, I have it up and in, just have to pick up some Exhaust crush seal gaskets for the pipe to header final install. I appreciate any comments.
That looks cool, sorta like 2 stroke tech? Got the expansion chamber for zero flow resistance on acceleration? How much does something like that cost? I saw two 64mm turbos on Clarksville TN Craigslist, 200 for each. I'm guessing that wouldn't work with a turbo, but for sure a pro charger. How much power gain is advertised or torque curve change?

The 99-04 California Emissions Jeeps have 2 pre-cats as well as the regular catalytic converter. So what you're looking at there is the 2 bungs for the upstream o2 sensors on the upper exhaust header, then the 2 pre-cats on the lower exhaust tubes. There will still be another o2 sensor on the downpipe, the catalytic converter, and then a downstream o2 sensor after that.

Yeah....

Default Discontinued Xj exhaust

Hello

Im trying to find an exhaust full system or just cat back for my XJ 2001 4.0L (3960L 181 BHP)

I live in the UK and all I can find are exhaust systems that companys say thats the right after market exhaust, so I order it and it completely wrong.

The main dealer says that my exhaust is discontinued and I know I can get one made up but the price is far to much.

Ive added a pic of the exhaust I need. MIne is the 52101 262AH flanged exhaust.

Can any body help in locating one

Cheers

Andy

You can always go to the local DIY store and buy some plumbing pipes. Might sound like a rubbish disposal machine but it can still be an easy upgrade.

I don't know what's available in the UK, but maybe PC will ship it over there for you....

The exhaust systems were different when I lived in Germany, in fact the exhaust, head lights, body and a few other things were different spec. I think even some glass. That's probably why amazon will not ship. I would arrange to ship to you if you buy one here, but not sure if its legal. It may be cheapest to just have a muffler shop make you one, but I know in Europe that can cost a lot. Then it may have to be inspected or who knows, I'm not exactly sure what the UK spec or law is on that. Germany was really strict on even the smallest changes made to vehicles.

You can always get an adapter. Might not be the most ideal, but it could possibly work to solve your woes....

Hoping someone on here will have an answer for me. My 99 Cherokee was originally a Florida vehicle. So it has none of the stupid California smog stuff on it. I want to put a high flow 2.5" cat on it. Typically when a vehicle is originally sold in CA you must replace the cat with a special one. Since mine never had the CA smog stuff on it, do you know if I can get by with a non CA certified cat? Something like a Magnaflow?

I was just reading up on the extensive Mumbo jumbo lot of health and safety and emissions codes for CA (I'm here in socal too) and i didn't see anything that said you could do that, but there is always the risk that you couldn't put in a non CARB cat. I could've missed that part because it wasn't what I was looking for. I have to most likely replace my cat too because it's rattling like nobody's business (check my Instagram. I just followed you). It's hard to figure stuff like that out. It's never clearly stated, at least in CA I noticed.

I am looking for a cat back exhaust system as my stock exhaust fell off when I hit a bump (that's not the sole reason as the only thing holding it together was a custom bracket thing I made). I am looking for a reasonably priced system (around 300) that is a little more aggressive than stock but not obnoxiously loud. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Thanks for the reply. I was reading the same thing you were. Its like they are even unsure on what you can do as far as cats go. There are so many laws regarding cats that it is just confusing. I even read something that said that you cant replace the cat unless something is wrong with it. And you would need a shop to verify that there is an issue with it first. Guess the stock one will stay on until it has issues.
