And I would also recommend getting a lift kit with full leaf packs instead of an AAL.

Rubicon Express is a great company. I'm bias toward IRO's track bar cause of my experiences with the company and the product.
They dont say if the ones they provide in the kit are longer or just a better design.
Also will a 1" TC drop be needed as well?

TC drop may be needed. Won't know til you lift. '97+ are more susceptible to vibrations, but each XJ is different. A TC drop may stop the vibes (if you have any), but a true fix is an SYE. The TC drop will just move the stress to the motor mounts.

I rolled my XJ 1.5x, and my IRO bar wasn't even scratched. Now dukie564 has it on his rig, and he loves it. Like I said, I personally won't use anything else. The company has treated me wonderfully, too. There aren't many companies I will push on people, but IRO is absolutely one that I'll recommend.

That's good to know. Trac bar and adjustable LCA's are the next mods I plan on doing.

I just put their adjustable LCAs on my Comanche last week, and I'm very satisfied. Very beefy, bent for clearance, and they're adjustable from stock to 6" of lift.

Good to know, thanks. Mine is a 93 sport so hopefully no problems.

Nothing?

So as the xj is torn apart for the lift install, what other upgrades would you guys recommend doing at the same time? I'm not looking to have to tear it all apart every other month to upgrade things, I'd rather just get it done right away.

From what I understand with a 4.5" lift I'm going to need to also purchase an sye, correct?

I'm making a list of everything I need to figure out total cost.

Longer brake lines and maybe some sway bar disconnects if you plan on flexing.

Brake lines, yes. Extended sway bar links, too. Links with quick disconnects are optional (suggested).

Coil springs
Leaf springs
Shocks
Track bar
Sway bar links
Brake lines
SYE (recommended; maybe needed) w/DS
Wheels/tires
Lower control arms
Upper control arms (optional at 4.5")
Bumpstops

That seems to come with most of the stuff. Just a few things I'd have to pick up then so not too bad I guess.
