He’s got a rubicon express 3.5 inch lift on it, coil overs on front with lower short arms and leaf springs in the back.

I recently bought a 1992 Jeep XJ 4dr 4x4. The guy I got it from claims to have put a 4” lift on it. It’s sitting on 31s. Does anyone have a measurement or pics for comparison I can see? The shocks are skyjacker so it might be a 4.5” lift because I can’t find skyjacker 4” lift or shocks in that matter. Thanks for the help

measure from the top of the rear axle tube to the "frame rail". should be about 6.5" stock...any more than that is how much lift you have

Any reviews on this company? Looking at their 2" Budget Boost.

Thanks

Default Max tire size 2000 gc

I was just given a 2000 Grand Cherokee Laredo 4.7L 2WD...completely stock. My first Jeep. I have a line on a full set of Nitto Terra-Grappler 285/70R17 tires mounted on Havok 106 17X9 wheels. I don't want to do a lift or any cutouts (yet).... They look like they are gonna be a tight fit. Would I be screwing up by getting these tires/wheels?

There are plenty of people who do it, and there's a guy I wheel with that has 3.55s and 35s. He pretzels driveshafts though

Yess but the 4.7 stroker helps with the "power loss" problem

Would be even better with some gears and a stronger rear axle.

Just swap in an 8.25 rear axle. Easy direct swap and a good bit stronger.

They're are limited slip options, but they're a little harder to find. They're in Cherokees. The 97-01 8.25 are stronger than the pre 97.

Ya I have 8.25 in the rear......real low power on freeway climbs.....not a daily rig at all just don't want to put stress on any one given part (trans, motor, driveshaft if wheeling, etc). I was just seeing if 3.55s have been used by a member for sometime and his/her experience.......not a daily and don't wheel often....is it worth the change?

Default First time poster - Flame suit ready

Hello all!
first time poster here finally picked up the Cherokee i wanted and plan on doing a 3" lift. After reading for many days and hours I realized I wanted a 3" to fit 31s. There are so many options but still i am unsure what is the best option for me.
This is my second Cherokee, the first had a skyjacker kit that i bought that way, it had terrible death wobble and i want to avoid this. The track bar that was installed in it had ovaled out the hole and was a PITA.

Can anyone recommend a full kit ? i was thinking of doing the RE kit but its 3.5" and people say it is much higher not sure i want to go higher than 3", and it seems Rustys does not include all the options.

Would i be better getting all the pieces i would need separately to build my own kit ? if so is there a list of everything you would suggest?

Thanks for your help in advance and sorry for all the questions!
