The lifts for the 4x4 XJ's should work in yours as well. Coil buckets are the same as are the control arm mounts.

So a couple things. First, how could I tell if my leafs are bad? They're sitting straight with no curve at all. The people I've asked said it's fine, or some leafs are supposed to be like that. From what I've read, xj leafs shouldn't like.___. That, but I don't know since people older with more knowledge keep saying there's nothing wrong.(over 400k Miles mostly highway and as far as I know they're 30 year old leafs, I figure they should be replaced everyone says they look fine)

2nd thing is there really much difference between springs? Would I be able to tell a difference between OME springs/leafs and say IRO springs/leafs if OME shocks were going to be used either way?

With that many miles im sure the leafs are sagging, there should be a slight upward bow, wouldnt hurt to replace them.

When it comes to front coils there is a difference in quality between some brands. OME is good quality, ive heard decent reviews on IRO, and have personal experience with Rubicon Express which are also nice. Metal cloak are another popular brand of coils around here.

I would just stay away from Rough Country.

thanks, that what I figured but as far as ride quality it won't change much? I was thinking of all OME suspension and then get the other pieces, but if the springs won't affect anything or the difference in how they ride is minimal than I was going to save some money and get different springs.

Doorman also offers replacement leafs/springs. From what I understand they net about 1" of lift over stock.

OME is good stuff and rides really nice. I have their coils and leafs, and they're nice. However, the coils are a little "soft" for spring rate on a lifted jeep, so I'm changing it up.

All that said, are you trying to stay at stock height? I don't think OME has stock height replacement coils and leafs. At a bare minimum you'll get 1.75" out of their coils, and 2.5" (ish) out of their 3.5" leafs with the middle leaf removed.

It's stock now and I don't like it, I'm looking to go up to 3 inches. I was going to build my own lift kit. Thanks for the feedback! So I'll save money on the springs by buying a different brand. Mine will be my DD and weekend warrior. So I'd like it stiffer than stock but not stiff enough to make driving to work suck.

My suspension needs some love, and i figured it presented a prime chance to go up to 3in suspension from the 2in spacers that were already on the jeep. I'm looking at Rough Country, which i have received several recommendations for, but my question is, beside the actual kit, is there anything else i need to worry about with lifting it another inch? Any parts that need switched out, beefed up, etc. Any help would be appreciated!

who in the world is recommending rough county lol. I used rc once, never again..imo for about the same price i would go with a zone lift....at 3 inches you may experience driveline vibes...maybe not but possible.

'95 Jeep Cherokee Country 238K miles (stock everything)

1. How big of tires can I get without lifting my Cherokee?
2. If I get a 3" lift, do I need any other modifications to keep my Cherokee safe?
3. What size tires would look best with a 3" lift?
4. What is the cheapest lift kit I can get that's worth the money?
5. Where can I go to get my Cherokee lifted?
6. If I have the tools, should I do it myself?
7. Where can I find cheap or used offroad tires for sale?
