31s will not fit real well without trimming, if it is a strict on road vehicle then you might be ok except for sharp turns, any bumps and it will rub, i had 31s and a 2inch bb and had to change to a 30 in tire

Not sure if this has been answered.. The RE is a 3.5" lift but will actually sit at about 4.25-4.5" an the RC 4.5 will from what I hear sit close to 5".. I don't think you will go wrong with either lift. If you go with the RE 3.5 make sure you get a 3/4" front coil spacer to level it out.

Redrill the mount (gojeep has the best write up for that) or pop for a new adjustable bar. IMHO, if you have that much lift I'd go for a new bar. Iron Rock off road has a beefy adjustable that's reasonable. TnT customs makes a nice one. Get a double shear though, it will last longer. I had one that used a heim at the frame end and I had to replace it every year. Not a good thing if you ask me.

Pepboys sells an MT that's not bad price wise. I have some Mudkings and they aren't bad for the price. Also treadwright make te MT-G which is about $80 a tire and so far everyone that I know that has bought them love them. I am waiting on mine to come in.

Well, this is more of a preference than anything. A MT will be somewhat noisy on the road. They will also get less miles than a typical AT. The Toyo OpenCountry MT and the Cooper discoverer STT are two that are pretty good for dual purpose. The Maxxis Bighorn? is inexpensive and also gets good reviews. I do lots of hwy and I have Toyo At's they are quiet and still perform very well in snow/mud/sand. For me it was a a trade off. I wanted the MT but my jeep is primarily used in foul weather so I went with an AT that scored high in most areas.
If money wasn't as tight as it is I'd get some treadwright MTr's for wheeling and keep my At's for street use. BTW if you want 31's get 265/75/15, they stuff nicely when you have stock wheels and they are slightly taller than a 31. also a lot cheaper.

I am looking to lift my jeep a little more, i have a 1.75" budget boost right now and have been looking hard at the 3" rc lift... a couple questions
1. would you reccomend me putting the 3 inch on top of the 1.75?
2. if i put it on top will i need to get a trac bar or control arms to realign the front?
3. if i go with the aal kit would it be better to take the stock leafs off of my cherokee chief parts jeep? reason i ask is stock they come with an extra leaf and more curve. I know i should just buy a leaf pack but money as a college student is tight haha

Ok so i just got my rough country 4.5in lift with full packs. I know how to do alot on cars but only have off one day a week. So my question is how hard is it really to change out the suspension. Thank you.
Also how much would did cost to pay someone to do it if i dont have the time(an estimate).

I'm lookin for a relatively inexpensive way to make my XJ stand a bit taller so i can throw some 30's or 31's on it. Anyone used these or know anything that i should probably know about em?
Thanks in advance.
