You may need more with it, really varies from Jeep to Jeep though. Things you might need would be adjustable track bar, extended brake lines, possibly full springs instead of an AAL depending on the condition of your stock springs.
FWIW, most people don't need a track bar and brake lines for a 3" lift, but I needed them at only 1.5" of lift.

Well first I would say search and learn about your jeep since obviously you don't know much about it. Would be smarter to know a thing or two first before throwing stuff at it. Use google to search like a teen would use **** and you'll be fine.

I started with calling a dodge/chrysler delaership and giving them my VIN number. With that I was able to find out a lot. You can look at your axles and see which one it is. most have a ID tag especially danas

I'm used to slamming VWs. Not lifting jeeps. Lol

I'm trying to avoid doing all this special modification. I want a good budget lift if possible. This jeep is my beater and my daily. I have a VW show car.

Yeah, I've got an XJ. My axle was way off center with the stock track bar, and my brake lines weren't long enough to flex offroad. I now have an adjustable track bar, new upper and lower control arms, new brake lines, and about to swap 1 ton steering on mine just for a 1.5" lift. I've got more into the 1.5" on my XJ than the 4.5" on my MJ.
