Air Intake + Oil filter relocation = PITA Wetdream?
I am looking at relocating my battery to the driver side (will come up with tray solution and post) so I can set up a remote oil filter mount in the void.
I need pictures of any aftermarket CAI setups installed on your rigs. (I am thinking about the afe stage 2 non-abs setup, seems more compact so I have as much space as possible for the battery.)
I don't want to relocate the battery to the passenger compartment unless necessary. Unforeseen agricultural excursions may dictate rear as sleeping quarters .
Help is always appreciated.

Why do you want to relocate the oil filter? And don't waste your money on a CAI, but if you must change the air intake system, go for a snorkle kit.

1. Eliminate that leaky @$$ housing most of all
2. More convenient location for oil changes

So you would rather have used oil run down the fenderwell every time you change the filter? Just reseal the adaptor and avoid the risk of having leaky hoses and problems. Plus how convenient is it goig to be to move the battery tray and fab up new cables? Kind of a dumb idea, sorry man.

you're welcome. http://www.pegasusautoracing.com/adv...egoryID=OILING
I think these are great ideas. Not to mention you orient the oil filter so that it drains when not under pressure.

Sliding off topic, really needed pics to see if any one had a cold air kit installed so I can see how much space is left on the driver side wheel well.
Mr. Gasket makes a kit that has the right size/pitch for the Chrysler 6.
Though the way its going, I just might leave $#!T alone and work on another part of my rig first. Until I need dual batteries for the extra goodies I'll be putting on.

I remember seeing a dual bat set up that came with new intake tube and filter that put the 2nd bat in the space left by the old box but the thing is the filter was tiny maybe half the stock filter surface area nothing you would want to run on your jeep maybe that is why I can't find it anywhere, Even after a new intake that space is pretty much filled after that

Still not worth the headaches and trouble, you're still going to have the adaptor on the block that could still leak, and you want to move stuff around. It aint worth it!
