Default Aftermarket temperature gauge

I have a 1991 Cherokee with the 4.0L HO engine. It has a temp sensor in the T-stat housing (for the fan and ECU) and one at the rear of the head (for the factory temp gauge). The Auto Meter temp gauge I bought has a temp sensor bulb that's way too big to fit into the space in the head. If I put it into the T-stat housing, what will control the fan and ECU? Does anyone know if a T-fitting can be purchased, and where, to put both sensors in the T-stat housing?

I drilled and tapped a tstat housing for my gauge but you can build a tee as well. I ran one that way for a while - just decided it was ghetto so I did it right.

DO NOT pull your ECT!

So, you have both sensors in the t-stat housing by drilling and tapping a second hole?
