I recently bought a guard for my XJ and the guy gave me 2 aftermarket fog lamps that bolt on.

How do I wire these up? Does anyone have a write up? Could I just eliminate my useless stock fog lamps and run their wiring to them?

I"m terrible when it comes to wiring, thats the only reason I'm asking. I searched and I get alot of opinions on what to buy, using stock harness, etc.

Yes, the easiest would be to move the wires from your OEM fog lamps to the new set IF they are fog lamps. The OEM harness should have a relay so that the fogs can only be used with low beams. Using driving lights with low beams is generally not advised in that they have narrower, longer reaching patterns than high beams. LEOs might not approve.

Here in Pa lights mounted above the mirrors MUST have covers on them when driving on public roads.

I stole this picture off of here someone else made hope it helps! Also depending on the power of the lights I'd upgrade the wires. If they are just like 50 watts or so your stock should be alright.
