aftermarket control arms at 2"?
Anybody know what aftermarket lower control arms will work with a 2" coil spacers and add a leaf? My bushings are shot and the arms are looking in ruff shape so I figured I'd upgrade. I was looking at rubicon express lower fixed super ride control arms from quadratec but unsure if they would work with my tiny lift

You would benefit from purchasing a set of WJ lower control arms.
MUCH nicer bushings, easy install and much beefier. I found mine online for 50 bucks for the pair. New.

They bolt right up? Same size and everything or does it need any modification? They look beefier then the crummy stamped arms i got now

I had to cut a notch like this to make them fit in the LCA frame side mount.
and cut down the width of the inner bushing sleeve. Both easy to do with what ever you have laying around. A 3 dollar hack saw will do it...

That's a stock arm for twice as much as the WJ arms. It'd be silly to go back with those.

i would just find a used set of 3" lowers with good rubber bushings. all day in the classifieds for $40-$60. no modifications needed.

You'd rather buy used arms instead of brand new WJ arms for the same price?

And the used vs new is exactly why I'd go WJ. I know I'll eventually go LA, but I can toss the WJs on the wife's TJ once that happens.

Yeah, I'd venture to say they're more than strong enough to do anything a short armed vehicle can do. The mounts would come off the axle before that arm broke.
