Default Aftermarket Cluster

Has anyone successfully installed aftermarket gauges in a pre-97 cluster?

Thanks.

You make your own gauge panel and wire up the gauges you install in it.

Of course but that is not the reason for the question.

6 gauges, sizes available are 3 3/8 and 2 1/16, at a glance they do not appear to fit. I have searched and searched and have yet to find an image of a custom cluster.

But I just found these........interesting, and would fit in the two panels on either side of the cluster.

http://www.prime4x4.com/index.htm does have a panel that goes to the right of the cluster and one top of the console where the dash meets it.Maybe they will sell you them blank and give you places to put other gauges you don't need to see always.

I'm seeking accuracy and an appropriate appearance.

Intellectronix sells a 6 in 1 digital gauge panel that is fairly priced but people are having problems loosing the digits over time.
Dakota sells the similar gauge panel but is $800
Dakota and Speedhut both make very nice gauges but I don't want to go cramming them in after spending $800 and having a botched POS look.
I like the digital/analogue gauges that Glowshift makes.......just dont like the cram them in there look.

I'll keep looking for a solution. Factory gauges are mediocre at best.

Yeah the cluster hole size is the real limiter i see.If you could get two 5 inch gauges in there http://www.autometer.com/5-quad-gaug...am-muscle.html or same set up different style and smaller http://www.autometer.com/3-3-8-quad-...esign-blk.html
