Default Advice needed on a cherokee

I have an opportunity to buy a heavily modified 1998 I6 4.0 Cherokee.

It has 179K on it but had the motor replaced with a motor that only has 30K on it along with the transfer case.

The tranny is original. at 179K Should I worry about the tranny going any time in the near future?

it has a laudry list of goodies that are impressive which is why im considering it.

I believe its full time AWD

ARB Air Lockers,
Custom Fab Bumpers front and rear, front has a 8000 pound winch
Roof Rack, Aux Lights
lift, 32's 4:56 gearing
Dana 30's
snorkel
and a ton more

Also (if anyone has a similiar build what kind of MPG are you getting?)

I had a 98 Wrangler and moded it heavily, then sold it with 105K on it so I never had any issues with it. Other than the exhaust manifold going out on it.

Would a vehicle like this be reliable, it sounds like it was well taken care of but also offroaded. I mean who wouldn't...

I'll continue to do research but welcome any thoughts.

Wouldn't worry about the trans At all... Treat it right and it will outlive the engine

What's the point of the airbags? Are they durable enough for 4-wheeling? I usually just see people putting those on lowered cars.

I'm betting they are to level when towing.

If it was me i would find a virgin xj and built it my way.I'm not knocking the guy but a lot of lifted xjs get beat on and end up for sell and you bought someone elses problems. And adding stuff to a car/truck don't really make it worth more either.A spray on bed liner in a truck only adds 50 bucks to it value and it cost a lot more then that.
