I am looking to lift my xj in the near future (just don't have the money to do it yet), but my stock track bar is starting to go. I am just wondering if I buy a rough country adjustable track bar, and get it aligned to the stock size, can I then go and re-adjust the track bar to the 3" lifted size?

yes, as long as you get the one that is for 0-3.5" of lift. I would contact them prior to purchasing to be certain it will work with zero lift
