adding electrical accessories
so i want to add a few led light bars, and possible a few other things.
now im comfortable doing electric work and wiring. my biggest ? is why, how and where would i add fuses and relays?
be nice, im trying to learn.

Easy, fusible link from battery to 30 post on standard radio shack relay, ground out the relay from the 86 terminal, then run a wire off the 85 terminal to your switch, positive lead from your accessory goes to the 87 terminal, ground out the accessory to the chassis, Get one of those tap-a-circuit blade fuse taps and just tap a fuse in your panel, up to you whether you want it switched or constant, then ground out the switch. The switch will control the relay and the relay will deliver your power directly from the battery to the accessory. Easy stuff, I just wired up my 50" light bar last week and I have only minimal knowledge when it comes to wiring.
