Default accessory toggle switch?

I'm searching like a mad man to find out how to do this, but alas, I can't find it. I can find how to make a push start ignition and such... But i just want to have my accessories work without turning everything on in the jeep.

I've got a 99 with the 4.0 and AW4. Classic trim. ACC position with the key doesn't work.

So if you turn it almost all the way your radio won't even come on?

the cylinder in the 97+ goes like this right? OFF-ACC-ON-START correct? The position between OFF and ON exists, but does nothing. And I can't turn the key back so I'm assuming my ACC is broken

Most cars u have to push the key in and rotate back to get the accessory position.

Negative. I believe it is ACC-OFF-ON-START. You should have to push the key in a little extra to get it to rotate backwards.

hmmm... Ok how about this, my steering wheel lock is broken, would that prevent me from going into the ACC position?

Not sure how the steering wheel lock works so I can't answer that one. I know mine is a bit of a pain to get to turn backwards though. I have to finagle it a little bit.

Well, had extra free time last night, went out to my jeep and messed with it. Took me like an hour total, i ended up taking the whole mechanism apart and scraping some metal off so it can turn back now and I have an ACC position. Also it's smooth as butter now

I hope you didn't just eliminate the need for the key to turn the tumbler....
