99+ intake swap. Feedback.
I had the swap done. I live in a condo, so doing it wasn't in the cards on this swap. Found a guy on CL. Charged me $140 + $10 tip. I had no complaints on the labor.
He did have to move the air intake sensor. So, he had to re-wire it he said. I bought a new sensor. Why put a used one back in.
The fuel line bracket did fit. New intake only uses one bolt. As old intake used two bolts.
I had to get a vacumm cap block. Old intake had two. New one has three.
Some vacuum line had to be extended he said. I forgot to look which one.
I did replace the intake/exhaust gasket. Along with the TB gasket.
Now, for the good stuff. I do feel a difference. Both low & top end. But, more on top to be honest. I also notice the k&n intake seems louder now. The butt dyno says I gained something. I will replace the injectors with "703". They didn't come in time. I had ordered them already. Should be here tomorrow.
Worth doing? I say yes.

I did the swap on my 95 ZJ. I had to extend a few vacuum lines, update the power steering pump and brackets to a 96 and newer setup, and tweak the fuel line bracket a little. I had no issues with the exhaust hitting the intake, the engine ran flawlessly from the start. The biggest pain was getting to the manifold bolts on the bottom. I'm very happy with the results, I can pull long hills a lot better because of the increase in top end performance.
