99 cherokee wanting to stretch wheelbase with comanche rear springs?
I have been playing with the idea of stretching the rear of my 99 xj and thinking of linking or using comanche rear springs to push it back about 3" has anyone done this and or have any pictures thanks

why? you have a stock jeep. stretching with leaf springs opens a whole new can of worms... axle wrap, body issues, new driveshaft, shock location, etc.

MJ springs are longer so you'd need to move your shackle mount to even run them. YJ springs will give you a 3" stretch but like the fellow above me said it opens up a can of worms. I stretched mine just over 2" to center my tires in the wheel wells due to the lift I'm running. Plan on doing some cutting then cutting some more then moving mounts and drive shaft mods and so on.

I am going to start soon on my build planning on going with 36's and maybe fullsize axles. I plan on making some extended opening corners like you can by for tjs that push the opening back out of metal and then making a shackle hanger on my rear bumper just trying to get a better departure angle.

the new shackle mounts will need to be just under your rear bumper.
fuel tank will need to be relocated as well. fuel lines may need to be lengthened.
and obviously will need to make some new upper shock mounts, body mods, and driveshaft.
