Vehicle is a 98 Cherokee SE automatic 2WD. It is in the process of a manual / 4WD conversion. Dealership has two pedal assy. available. part numbers are #52079254AC and #52128398AA. They cannot tell me which is which without the VIN. Any info?

I can check to compare the part number with the one on the clutch pedal assembly I recently removed from a 98 XJ Sport 2dr 4wd. If you were in Canada I'd have a pedal assembly, clutch/slave, 5spd crossmember, etc for your swap.

The best and cheapest way to do what you are planning is to look around, and buy a parts Cherokee with a manual, that way you can get everything you need, and you can just replace the parts that are bad, plus you have all the small parts and fasteners.

Was finally able to get into my garage and get the pedals out to check. Any idea where the whole part number is located? Mine has a couple sets of numbers (only about 5 digits long), but the only one that seems similar to yours is right at one of the mounting holes, and you can't see all the numbers (first number is missing, but says _212____?), the other is 256197 on the top part of that mounting area..
