97 zj front end noise
ive got a 97 zj with 5.2L engine and a quadratrac tcase. when i bought it the tcase was literally snapped in half so i replaced it with another quadratrac from a pick n pull until i can track down and get some time to do a 231 swap. my issue is that now im getting a howling noise from the front end when i accelerate. im thinking worst case is pinion or carrier bearings are gone in the front diff, i do know i have a bad wheel bearing as well but i dont think thats the biggest problem. if i pull the front drive shaft to take the load off the front bearings how long will i be able to run like that, and what other axles will bolt up with relitive ease(tj, xj, etc)
Also it has 31.5 x 10.5 bf goods on the stock rims but they are rubbing just about everywhere you could imagine, what lift would you guys recomend, and what offset should i look for when i buy new rims?
thanks
