I have full 6.5 inch leaf packs from RC, and the cheaper rough country shocks. In the front im lifted with the short arm kit, and extended springs. My Xj rides like a pogo stick, the lift has been installed for about 6 months now so its not new by any means. I run about 35 pounds of air in all 4 tires. I also dont get any death wobble, it just bounces worse over bumps than an old Honda Civic that I llowered on blown coilovers when i was a kid. HELP!

With those short arms and cheap shocks its not going to get any better. Even with better shocks it wont make much of a difference. You'll either need drop brackets for your control arms or get long arms.

With your control arms being at such an extreme angle when you hit bumps not only are the cheap shocks trying to absorb the shock from the axle but its also moving up your control arms straight up into the body.

Not going to help. You need to drop your control arms in the front (or get long arms ). Get shackle relocation brackets for the rear which will probably add about 3/4in to your lift. You could compensate for that by removing one of the leafs from the pack. RC leafs are too short and they put your shackle at a terrible angle. It needs to be at 45deg rearward. (knowing RC its probably vertical right now or pulled forward). As far as the front I have no idea why RC even offers 6.5 in kit with no drop brackets. That cannot work properly. My .02

Your first problem is that you got a 6.5" RE lift, haha just kidding. X2 on dropping your control arms or getting long arms. You should also look into getting OME shocks they ride like butter. When you start putting on leaf packs with highly arches you tend to get a stiffer ride it comes with the territory. On a side note why do RE lifts ride rough? I have wheeled in 2 XJs with 3.5-4.5" RE lifts and they both road like someone replaced the springs with bricks.

To the OP. Try drop brackets first, 150$ beats 1500$ as a test bed any day. Also 35 psi? This isnt a honda, drop that sucker to 25-28psi.

Rc drop brackets for the front, make a huge difference! Slider boxes for the rear. IMO.
