Anyone done or have any info on doing the switch to control 1-2 shifting on a 97+ xj? Have done this on a couple older models but Seeing a lot of posts and info talking about this triggering a “trans limp mode” on the newer models. Anyone done this to their 97 or newer xj and had this issue? Have a 99 and wanting to control first/second get shift.

 

I went with no tcu at all. 2 rocker switches and a toggle switch for converter lock. Manually shifted, no auto. Not for everyone.
