Default 97+ Gauge refresh/upgrade

Well after 170k miles, my factory gauge cluster needed a refresh. The exposure to the high altitude UV rays of Colorado had faded the needles to almost pure white. I knew I wanted to address this issue at the same time I wanted to make my Jeep a little bit more custom.

Here are the results:

The needles were re-done with Prismacolor 'Orange'. The gauge bezel was just one of those stainless overlays from EBane that I sanded, primed and sprayed in the slight copper color you see here (i'll try and get the actual color later).
All surfaces were cleaned and the clear plastic cover was wiped down and checked for heavy scratching (luckily it was in good shape still)

I also installed amber LEDs so I'll post that once I get the good camera set up for night exposures.

If you want to get a bit more custom, my friend make custom faces for these.

Here are the amber LEDs...they are actually slightly more orange than the pic shows and are very well dispersed in light output. I used the 3-way bulbs.

I wish that you had done a before AND after shot, but the end result still looks nice. Props.
