97+ Clear marker lenses?
Looking for a set of clear lenses for the front marker lights on my '98 XJ. Smoked would be even better. I know these used to be really popular but I can't seem to find anybody selling them now. Does anybody still sell them?? All I can find are the pre-97 style.

Thing about the white ones is that the amber bulbs kinda show through. Especially in the front ones. Now people have told me about the stealth/chrome bulbs. They don't ruin the look. But they seem to suck as far as how bright they are, makes sense because there is a mirror coating on them, but also they just don't last. My state laws say I can run white bulbs up front, which would solve that problem, but have to run amber in the rear. My OCD has a tough time letting me do that. LOL.

You're right, the amazon ones look like they would hide the bulb better. I was hoping to use amber LEDs, but I'm not sure how they'd show through. Changed everything else to LED and boy it sure looks a lot nicer.
Hadn't thought about the taillights but I like those also. I can't believe my Jeep is already 20 years old...a few little updates like this and I don't think it really looks it.

Ralph, I think if you switch to leds for the markers, that problem will go away

Pretty sure the Jeep takes the 3157's and the 194's. Will these be OK with the factory wiring? Both Amazon and Advance Auto say they won't work with my '00. They look like they would do exactly what I want them to do. I have no problem with the price because at least it would be a brand I recognize and not bulbs at the links I gave above. It never occurred to me to switch to LED's. Don't really care about LED's. But that does not mean I won't. Especially if they will do what I need them to do.
EDIT. Looks like those are the ticket. Found this but will have to watch it.

So I watched and it seems cut and dry. Replace bulbs and replace the flasher. We sell Pilot LED versions at the store. Might check into the pricing of those. Can probably buy them cheaper on Amazon even with my discount.
Pretty sure we don't sell the Sylvania's though. I was curious about what flasher was in my Jeep. According to the Napa it is a EP 27. Which is what he said to replace with in the video. Poking around the though it looks like there are 2 versions of the EP 27. A regular one and a LED one.

If it is truly this easy I won't hesitate for a minute to do this. Probably go with the Sylvania's though.
Can it really be this easy?

Yes, it is. It's really no different than changing bulbs. Only exception as you noted is you need a different flasher. I've changed everything else to LEDs, and have LED headlights on the way. Dome light LEDs were the best, it's like daylight in there now. Makes all the lights brighter and whiter without changing wiring, and now they won't ever burn out!
The only issue is often the LED replacements fit multiple types of bulbs. Sometimes when you get them they don't quite fit or shine in the right direction for your specific application. This is probably because I used mostly cheap LEDs from ebay, the more expensive name brands are probably more plug and play.

Going to check the price of the Pilots at my store and see if we can get the Sylvania's. My local Advanced also has them in stock. Figure I will pick up a 2 pack of the 3157 Amber. Give them a try behind the front white lens. If they look promising then will go for it.

The best option for hiding amber bulbs behind clear lenses is to use "chrome amber" bulbs, IMO.

Neither do chrome amber bulbs. See the picture at my link. Zero color. I don't know why it matters how far they stick out from the socket. No flasher change needed, and mine are plenty bright.
