Default 97 brakes on a 2000?

hey gang, i bought a new set of powerstop rotors and pads for my '97 when i first bought it. but now i don't really drive it and my '00 REALLY needs pads and rotors. does anybody know if they will work? they show to be the same diameter, but the 97 kit says "3" tall composite" and the 00 kits are "3.25" tall composite"
wtf does that mean??

it's too late for me to send the 97 kit back and i'm trying to save some pennies here... lots of expenses lately :/

Not sure why it wont, dont think they changed any of the brake setup throughout the 97+ years.

Actually, they did change the brakes halfway through model year '99 from composite to cast rotors. They also changed the hubs so that they are NOT interchangeable. The cast and composite rotors have different heights, and installing the wrong rotors will cause them to drag and potentially lock up. You have to match the rotor type to the hub type that is on the Jeep.

Here's some informative reading on that subject:

If I understand correctly, the pads (and calipers) are interchangeable, but the rotors will not be if you're still running the original low pinion stock 2000 axle. If you have swapped in an earlier HP axle, what you need will depend on what's on there. I would suggest reading that link above, taking some measurements and making sure you have the right parts.
