Default 95 donor cherokee to 97 cherokee lift

hello first post everyone!
i looked for a similiar topic but havent been able to find a suitable response.
i am buying a wrecked 95 cherokee with a 6.5 inch long arm kit. it has bumpers a winch and some other goodies i also wanted. im saving the engine trans and any other mechnical parts i could find useful. the body is toast except for a few pieces. ill cut the catalytic off for some extra reimbursement. all of these parts are going on a 97 cherokee with the same 4.0 engine. it has regeared axles to 4.11 that im considering having swapped as well but im not sure what my current ratio is. my jeep orginally came with a 4cyl motor but was swapped with the 4.0. ive been told it has a 4.10 but havent been able to prove that. ive meticuously maintained my gear oils and fluids but like having the extra parts whether its mine or from the donor. does anyone know if the axles and lift will swap over to a 97. do you think i should bother with the axles? i was really only after the lift. mine currently has a 2 inch bb lift and 30s. im hoping with the 6.5 to run 35s. im also having to have this done because i dont like working on my own stuff. something always goes wrong and i rush through it not feeling like i did a good job. what would you estimate it to cost to change out all the suspension under my jeep? any input would be greatly appreciated.

no one on here can estimate that work unless its their own personal shop, shop rates differ tremendously (my shops rate is $75 an hour and it could take quite a few hours to swap a lift)...everything will swap over...4-cylinder xjs would have 4.10 gear ratios so if their free with the donor snag them....

The axles will be bolt in. Time to swap the entire lift, assuming nothing was damaged in the accident? A lot. I'd expect my shop to take an entire day, and (like the guy above me mentioned) at $80/hour that's an expensive day. Do you have a SYE? Swapping that would be another couple hours.

I think you're probably looking at a day and a half of labor.

^^ That sums it up pretty well.

Find out your gear ratio now. If you have 4.10's and you could sell one pair of axle for a decent bit. You'll likely get $20 for the car, so that might cover the shop removing one tire

You failed to mention the rear differential in your "97" if its a D35 you amd you have a Chy 8.25 you may want to swap. If your 97 has the 8.25 it should the 29 spline axles and the 95 may not.

If you do have to do a gear swap its the right to do lockers as well same cost if gears are done. My SYE job done at a 4X4 shop was $200.

I went and looked at the donor and it is a bust. It had been rolled apparently 30 times the lift was mangled and there is no telling if the rest would have been ok. It did have a sye and better axles than my stock. I decided against it as he was asking too much. Thanks everyone for the input. I had gotten a quote for $500 based off the pics and info I sent a local shop. I'll get mine lifted a little higher someday

Someday with a different daily driver and a garage would be best . Once the flood gates open, they never close. After lifting everything takes more time, more money, and more patience.
