94 4.0 in 99
 

I am wanting to rebuild my engine in my 99. I found a donor jeep that is a 94. Can I rebuild the 94 and put it in my 99? I know that there was a camshaft change and the intake is different. I will use all the external parts from the 99. Just want a good bas to start for the rebuild. Was there any other changes I should be aware of? Or should I not even consider it?

the 94 block will work, you would just have to put pretty much everything else from ur 99 on it, sensors, manifolds and drive accessories mainly. but if i were doing it, i would change out some seals in the 94 before i put it in. but it will work fine

Good to know. I just want to pull the 94 and rebuild it while I am still driving the 99. Then swap them to have the least amount of down time.
