Default 91’ AX15 “Upgrade”

Clutch is losing fluid somewhere. Doesn’t look like the master.

The clutch slave cylinder is internal on the 91’ AX15. Trying to figure out if the bell housing can be swapped so that an external slave can be installed.

If I swap the bell housing, looking at previous post, it looks like i need to swap the drive shaft?

I did search for this and tried to wade through the info, but I could figure it out from previous post.

Please help.

Reading the Novak guide...

”The AX15 was used with an internal slave/throwout assembly up through the 1993 model year. In 1994, a more conventional slave cylinder and cross-arm were used. The input shaft is a 10 spline x 1-1/8" and its stickout length is 7-1/2". 1988 to 1991 AX15 input shafts have a smaller (~19/32") pilot tip. 1992-1999 AX15's have a larger (~3/4") pilot tip.”

What mods, if any, need to happen to accommodate the pilot tip difference?

This is on the AX5, but maybe search the same site for AX15?

I did this on my AX5 and it was pretty straightforward. I used the link posted above as a guide. I would assume the AX15 would be comparable, but you know what they say about assuming...
