Had the same problem with me but it was my 99 it was my fuel pump it had weak pressure

So go all the sensors checked out and everything. The only thing is that the TPS is not 100 percent adjusted properly. now whenever I crank it cold itll still idle but not rev untill it gets pretty warm and then its fine and I have tons of power and throttle control. any ideas?? Im stumped

Some times and i think ur year xj you have to put the Tps in range with a volt meter and ur hands lol

so that could cause it? but wouldnt it cause it to do this the entire time and not just when cold? yes mine has to be adjusted with a volt meter unfortunately. done it once and it takes a good while being tedious
