Any one got part #s on the axle seal I need to do this?

what he's talking about is ditching the vaccum actuator and going with a full length shaft for the axle instead of using the 2 piece shaft and actuator for 4wd to work..
i'm pretty sure all you need is an inner axle seal from a non disconnect front axle. (say from a 92 XJ if the parts counter asks for a make n model) then the longer shaft and your set
seal for 92+ XJ:

plz explain otherwise if this wasn't your intention

I'm doing this swap right now on my 87! Using the seal from a non-disco axle will not work in your axle. Our axles were not manufactured for the use of a seal in the passenger side of the diff housing, therefore they're not machined. You're going to have to do some prep work with sandpaper and possibly a dremel. Its been proven time-and-time again that NAPA Oil Seal part number 11800 will work. It's what I used.
Another option for you is to slide the coupler over to permanently engage your front axles. This involves removing the actuator, removing the e-clip, slide the shift fork down, put the e-clip back in place. TA-DA, permanent axle engagement, no vacuum needed. While this is weaker than a solid axle, it's a quick 15 minute fix!
