Default 87 Renix Cooling Conversion Question

hey guys I got an 87 Jeep Cherokee Renix I'm converting my closed loop cooling system to an open cooling system I got a radiator that was for a 96 Cherokee and when I went to button everything up it wouldn't allow me to put the bracket on top of the radiator to hold it down so my question is is there another radiator that I need to get to complete the conversion maybe like a 91 Jeep Cherokee instead of a 96the radiator I bought was a Spectra from Napa auto parts. is there a radiator that has a radiator cap that will specifically fit for my open cooling system conversion I thought I had all that covered but I guess not. Anyways thanks a whole bunch guys really appreciate your help

Are you referring to the threaded pins on top of the rad that don't go through the plate because the plate doesn't have holes that line up with said threaded pins?

Just need to slightly trim the bracket around where the rad fill cap goes. Should fit fine then.
