85 cherokee with 4.0
 

I bought this 85 cherokee a couple weeks ago and it has the 4.0 in it. I was researching what motor it came with it and found out its nearly in possible to swap a 4.0 in a 85 due to the fire wall. It is definitely a 4.0 and looks like no mods have been done. How is this possible?

"Nearly impossible" is not the same as "impossible". It's been done... Just not as easy as other models.

Do you know which fuel sustem (year) is in it? Well done swap? Got pics?

I looked up the engine s/n and it's a 94 . I'll grab some pics tomorrow.

It's possible to swap without firewall mods. I did it in my old 85. Not gonna lie, it was a tight fit.

What's the 10th digit in the Jeep's serial number?
