8.8 swap shock and Ebrake question
Swapping in an explorer 8,8 (disc)
I always hated the XJ rear shocks hanging so low. I had heard of moving the mounting point up even with the axle (new bracket?), and with a 3" lift this allowed you to use the stock shocks.
So with my 8.8 swap, I am ready to order a bracket kit,, do any of the kits have shock brackets that are higher than the stock XJ brackets?
Between my OME 3" springs, approximently 1/2" from shackle relocation, and the thicker 8.8 axle, I have no idea how much lift I will have? probably closer to 4"
Also, are the E-brake cables from the explorer useable??
