8.25 swap on my 87 d35 rear
ok the donor xj is a 92 with 8.25 rear and d30 non vac front.
its an auto 4.0
mine is a d35 rear and d30 front with vac
auto 4.0.
looking for a parts list of things needed. mine is lifted 3.5in if that helps at all with shaft length.
i need to do swap asap. any help would be great.
i have a short period of time to do it so it needs to all come together quick.

They should both be 3.55 gears it took me 45mins -1 hours to do my rear swap. It was super easy except I had to find a shaft in the junk yard I have a 5 speed the shaft might need to be shortend in your case the pinion on the 8.25 is longer than the 35

Try and get the drive shaft. Check ratios, you may need to swap the front as well if they don't match. Most all came with 3.55s with an auto but there are exceptions.
