8.25 into an XJ
I know some XJ's came from the factory with the 8.25 Mopar Rear. Im a Mopar nut and have several parts cars with an 8.25 Rear. Will any 8.25 rear fit into an XJ or does it have to be specifically from an XJ?
What about the ever popular Mopar 8.75 (8-3/4) rear. Why isnt this a popular swap for an XJ?

width, spring pad size, shaft diameter/spline all matter. If they are cars with coils instead of leafs then its definitely not worth it.

If you are going to do the swap D35 to C8.25; then the best years to look for would be 7/96 to 2001. They will have the 29 spline axles.
Would also recommend that you purchased the driveshaft from the donor vehicle so it will be the proper length.
