Hi All,
Going to be installing my 6.5" Rough Country Long Arm Kit on next weekend. I'll be running 35x12.5x15 Pro Comp Mud Terrain with some 15x8 black steelies with 3.75 inch backspacing. Also a hack and tap SYE for my 231 and a refurbished drive shaft from Iron Rock Off Road.
So I've never done a lift in my life but I'd like to think of myself as pretty mechanically inclined as i've installed all my engine upgrades, headers, new intake manifold and throttle body, Injectors, etc.
I'm going to start by reading over the instructions 3 times and making sure everything is there before I start taking it apart but what else should I watch out for when installing? I heard the pitman arm is a PITA so i'll rent a puller for that. I have only hand tools and an impact drill but the Jeep has been in California it's whole life so everything should come out like butter after a few coverings of PB blaster. Also I will be trimming the fenders with a cut off wheel.
Any advice or words of wisdom is most welcome.
Thanks!

When mine was overheating I found out somehow the wiring connection on my electric fan was busted off its mount and disconnected from the fan so I would start with that.

It shall be done thanks dudes. Pro Comp D window steelies and Pro Comp 35x12.5x15 Mud Terrains got here today. By the way 4wheelparts.com is having a sale on rims and tires paid $1150 for the combo mounted and balanced since I have a local store. All going on next Sunday i'm making a day out of it. Did some reading, watched some videos, had no idea how to do a hack and tap but now I do. Pretty straight forward and easy just have to make sure I cut the shaft straight. Over all pretty confident.

Also forgot to say 4wheelparts price matches. That's how I got everything so cheap. All you have to do is find what you want on a website and bring a print out. If they carry it they'll match it.

This lift sitting around and not on my jeep is driving my crazy. Only problem is it's so.... grey. I want to at least paint the coils red and maybe the long arms and shocks. What do you guys recommend for spray paint? Rustoleum? Something that goes on easy and looks good.

Friday my man when I get paid only put down a deposit last week. They called me yesterday saying they arrived and the store manager who I was talking to was cool and threw in mounting and balancing for free.
