Local driveline shop would be the quickest and most likely the cheapest. Just bring them your existing driveline. Running an SYE right?

Exactly, you have a slip yoke. At that high of lift your driveline is at an increased angle. You will take out u joints quicker and most likely produce vibes. your driveline will also want to push UP into the t case instead of slide forward into the t case upon suspension comression; your tail cone will be prone to cracking as well as bending your main shaft and tearing transmission mounts. You need an SYE and a CV driveline with a slip in the middle. A front driveline will do. Sadly there isn't an actual SYE kit for the 242 so you will need to do a hack n tap.

Yes it is strong enough. And the front is best for the front. If it needs extended then you will have to have a shop retube it. What year is your XJ?

I might have a rear for you. Measure for the length you need and let me know.
