Locked D44 and 9 inch for $500?

Save the money and put it towards a welder if you don't have one already.

Yeah, $500 is JUST enough to get you in trouble.

Enough to buy a lot of crap you don't need, but not enough to buy what you want (IMO).

If I had $500 in Jeep money right now, I'd:

-Plastidip my crapy stock paint job myself, and take the $150-$200 left and buy a cheap LED light bar off Ebay/Amazon.

-Buy an inexpensive night vision monocular, and spend the rest on other BOB gear that stays in the XJ.

-Buy two-three crapy LED light bars

Yup, that's about it.

Though I think the "back away slowly, putting your money in your pocket" was the BEST advice!

^^ Great idea!
Sliders protect from more than rocks. While offroad, I slid sideways into some trees and the slider and it's outer step/bar prevented the doors and rocker panel from getting crunched and ruining the jeeps integrity.
I have also had to use the high-lift on the sliders when the front end was sunk.

Yep, they came out of a 79 Bronco. Picking them up this weekend, welding the rear, throwing a used Detroit in the front. Just can't regear them for that $500, but I'm putting 5.13's in them before they go under the Jeep.

there's a web site called aliexpress you can get some cheap lightbars from. Thier not named brand but their probly made in the same sweat shot as the major offroad brands. I found a 50" for $200. Oh ya shipping takes awhile. My boss got some knock off swiss glasses from them and it took around 3wks to get them but their legit.

If I had 500$ in jeep money I would buy a nice winch or a locker for my Chrysler 8.25. and whatever is left over after I would use to fix my ****ty headliner.

with $500.00 i would buy 6 new bosch 4 port injectors (my quotes were $30 each) and then use the rest to give her a good tune up. brakes, fluids, plugs wires cap n rotor air filter oil filter, etc.
