Im pretty new to the wheelin world but lovin it so far. but lately everytime i try to put it 4 LO it keeps poppin out or starts grinding while im off road. any idea what the cause is? and what will it take to fix it?

you have a crossmember drop?

no its not dropped. everything down there is stock

try adjusting the rod coming off of the shifter under the jeep first.

if that doesnt work, you may have to go inside the transfercase.

is it easy or tough to get outta 4wd?

yea it struggles to get out of 4wd. even on high

check the littler plastic hat bushing in the linkage. make sure its there and not damaged

I had a similar issue and it was only because coins and stuff fell beneath the trim around the Tcase shifter. It kept resisting for a while and after I pulled a few mangled quarters out from under the shifter after taking apart the console, The tcase shifts like butter.
