Default 4" Lift questions

I bought a 93 Jeep Cherokee County. I want to put a 4" lift on it but was wondering what I would need to do to the drive train to eliminate problems downt he road. Would I need a SYE, and other items not usually included in a lift kit?

Thanks

MAHA

as for drivetrain, yes you'll most likely need an sye or hack n tap.

another item not always included in the lift is a longer/adjustable track bar

Most of the time with a pre 96 xj the SYE is not needed. A tcase drop will probably be all you need. I just drilled a new hole for my trac bar and it has been fine. New LCAs would be good though to keep your caster in spec

thats what i mean and he is right pre 96, 231 transfer cases have a longer tail shaft and its better for a lil more height compare to 96 and up with the shorter shaft

Thanks for the info. Is there a prefered brand of lift for XJ? I would like to go with a all new spring pack in the rear.

If money was no option What 4" lift would you buy?

I am also considering swapping to a set of Axles from a FSJ Wagoneer. What issues would I have doing the swap with the steering?

clayton offroad 4.5 long arms. do it right once

for swapping axles in you need a lot of brackets up front to keep coils and for what its worth just do a dana 60 as its not any more work or that much more money over FSJ axles and you get a lot more strength

long arm is more flex better ride quality and easyer of front end parts short arm is not as much flew bouncy ride rough of control arm bushings but long arms hang low so you lose a lil clearance but better in the long run
