OH it does, Which is why pretty much every mid to high end speaker uses a poly or metal cone now days.

My dad got speakers out of a grand cherokee with an infinity sound upgrade (if I remember correctly) and put them in his Comanche and he says they sound pretty good. Not bad for a couple bucks.

my wj has the infinity gold package and its one of the best stock systems ive heard
